The Saranac Legacy

See The Progress

Main Lodge: Third Floor

Progress is coming along nicely on our newest set of cabins! The third floor of Main Lodge will be home to 20 more campers a week with addition of two bedrooms, a bathroom and a lounge. See the latest images of the transformation.

Prospect Point Remodel

We heard such great feedback on our remodelling of our snack bar, The Lean To, that we thought, "Why stop there?" We have expanded the theming out into the game room, completely changing the look and feel of Prospect Point. Besides changing the colors of the walls and trim, we have relocated and restyled the overhead beams to allow for the more "open" feel that was received so well in the Lean To. The updating will include brand new carpet, new lighting and fixtures, and a permanent A/V system to support events held in the game room. Check out the latest images from the project.

East Lodge: First Floor

Well, the plan was to just do the carpet and the bathrooms... When doing anything with a century old property, you learn to expect the unexpected. While tearing up the old carpet, we decided that the floors needed to be levelled. When pulling up the flooring, we realized that the joists needed to be replaced. When replacing the joists, we realized... you see where this is going. The project has certainly been more expensive than planned, but it's being done right, and will keep Saranac feeling new for the next 50 years. View the latest images of the renovations.

Boathouse Updates

The crown jewel of Saranac is getting some great improvements. Due to the need for some foundational repairs, we had the option to rethink the arrangement of some of the elements of the guest experience down at the boathouse. The deck layout has been restructured, giving a better view for campers to see the activities on main dock from the bridge. The new design also allows for a second guest bathroom to be added.
